Methodology

Alphabetical, sourced, and unpaid.

The board is a desk for MSPs who are asking what can replace a tool. It is not a review score and not a marketplace.

What gets a row

A product is listed when we can link a public page and say, in a sentence, what that page claims. Pages for this edition were checked on 2026-10-15. Seeded alternatives started from a fixed set: Blackpoint Cyber and Todyl beside Huntress and SentinelOne, Domotz beside Auvik, and Level, Syncro, and Atera beside NinjaOne. Other rows (ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA, Proofpoint, Ironscales, Axcient, Veeam, and the cross-listed products) are there so a category is not a single name.

How order works

Inside a group, names are alphabetical. Groups are “named in a public thread,” “seeded alternative,” and “public product page.” None of those is a rank. Paying for a slot does not move a row, add a row, or delete one.

Prices

A dollar amount is shown only when the linked page stated it, with the date we read the page and the page URL. If the page had no figure, the cell says so. We do not estimate street price, quote a comment, or convert credits into currency unless the source already did.

Threads

Switch notes in this edition come from public Reddit threads dated 18 September 2026 through 13 October 2026. Point and comment counts were recorded on 2026-10-15 from a public mirror read. Notes are editorial summaries of the thread theme. They do not include usernames or comment text. A thread title is the poster’s framing. We repeat a cause (a bad experience, a distributor path) only when that title says it.

The one vendor-document item

The Microsoft 365 Copilot Business usage-based billing note is taken from Microsoft’s Partner Center announcement for October 2026, updated 14 October 2026. The Reddit thread from 1 October 2026 is mentioned as discussion, not as the source of the date or the credit limit.

Neutrality

Sponsors are labeled. Their links use rel="sponsored". The integrity rules are on the sponsor page. A sponsor does not write the comparison cells.

What this is not

Not a quote board, not a star rating, and not legal or purchasing advice. Migration lists are stubs. Check your contract and the vendor’s own docs before you cut a tenant over.
